In a proper fraction, the numerator is less than the denominator.

When a fraction has a numerator that is greater than or equal to the denominator, the fraction is an improper fraction.

Thus,

•Proper fractions: 3/11, 2/3, 6/7

•Improper fractions: 9/8, 13/7, 10/1, 8/5
