An estate worth Rs. 7,37,28120 was to be equally divided among five members. A sixth member was then found who was also entitled to an equal share of the estate. How much less did each of the original five members receive.

When it is shared by 5, each member got

7,37,28,120 ÷ 5 = 1,47,45,624

When it is shared by 6, each member got

7,37,28,120 ÷ 6 = 1,22,88,020

Difference = 1,47,45,624 − 1,22,88,020 = 24,57,604

The required amount = Rs. 24,57,604.
