  • We work out a set of values or standards of morality which is universal, transcultural and inter–subjectively valid. These standards of morality can be called the foundations, which are uncontaminated by specific cultures, circumstances and particular histories.
  • Post-foundationalists argue that we do not require a universalistic, philosophical moral foundation, and that the set of principles required for adjucation between competing values is implicit in a particular community. The implicit has to be made explicit and clear.
