The AIPD can be compared and contrasted with the Modern Economic Science of Western Vintage (MES). AIPD conceives Man in a holistic framework as a blend of materialism and normative values. As against this, MES conceives Man as a Rational Economic man and formulates the goals of economic activities, in terms of material self interests.
