This is the number of ways of arranging 4 out of 6 objects. So, this can be done in P(6, 4) ways. Here, n = 6, r = 4 and n − r + 1 = 6 − 4 + 1 = 3. Hence, P(6, 4) = 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 = 360. So, the passengers can occupy the seats in 360 ways.
