  • We should take steps to save energy (switch off lights, fans and electronic gadgets when not in use) as power plants are highly polluting.
  • We should reuse paper-print and photocopy on both sides of paper. 
  • We should recycle paper, plastic and metals.
  • Non-biodegradable materials should be separated from biodegradable materials and disposed off separately.
  • In urban areas wastewater from homes are transported through sewers into nearby river or lake. It should be properly treated and may be reused for other purposes such as agriculture and the sludge can be used as manure.
