Let us first compare 2.15 and 32.6.

2.15 is greater than 2 and less than 3.

32.6 is greater than 32 and less than 33.

Therefore, it is very clear that 32.6 is greater than 2.15. Therefore, it will be greater than 2.003. Since 0.58691 is less than 1, it is less than 2.158, 2.003 and 32.6.

Till now, we know: {2.15 < 32.6} and {2.003 < 32.6} and {0.58691 < 2.158, 2.003, 32.6}

Now let us consider 108.01. This is greater than 108 and less than 109. Therefore, it is greater than 32.6 and all other numbers. 108.01 is the biggest number. Now the only problem is to find the order for 2.158 and 2.003. Note that the whole number part is the same. Therefore, we check the fractional part i.e. .158 = 158/1000 and .003 = 3/1000 and find that .158 is bigger. Hence, we can conclude that 2.003 is less than 2.158.

Now we can write the number in ascending order as:

 0.58691 < 2.003 < 2.158 < 32.6 < 108.01.
