Let x be the time taken by the pump to discharge 10900 litre of water in minutes. As the water is more now, motor will take more time. That means they are directly proportional.
- Water Time
- 560 2.5
- 10900 x
That is 560/10900 = 2.5/x or x = (2.5 × 10900)/560
x = 48.6607
As the answer has more decimal places than our understanding, we round off the answer to 2 decimal places.
Hence, the motor will take 44.66 minutes ti discharge 10900 litre water.
