According to the Constitution, all people are equally entitled to freedom of conscience, and the right freely to profess, practice and propagate religion, subject to public order, morality and health. The right of every religious denomination to manage its own affairs has also been recorded. Further in confirming with the objective of establishing a secular state, compulsory religious instructions in educational institutions maintained by the State, or recognized or aided by the state are prohibited. Through these provisions Constitution guarantees equality in the matter of religion to all individuals and groups irrespective of their faith. There is no religion of the State itself.
